DMXControl Meeting 2024
May 2024
We had something to celebrate: 15 years of DMXControl Projects e.V. and 20 years of DMXControl as a software project.
In keeping with our tradition, there was also a big light show setup.
DMXControl 3.3.0 is the version in the association's history that has been worked on the longest and has undergone many changes - apart from the long-awaited timecode player, for example. As part of this presentation during our livestream, we have once again made a public preview version available for the first time.
Our annual meeting took place for the third time in the tranquil village of Nußdorf am Inn, where we stayed in the barn to work, as we did in 2012 and 2018.
After 2022, a small group from our association once again visited Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt together.

DMXControl Meeting 2022
May 2022
Finally back on the traditional Ascension weekend: our traditional annual meeting - this time in the south-west of Germany: we returned to Stuttgart, more precisely to the Vaihingen Youth Center in Vaihingen a district of Stuttgart, Germany. Looking back, we can say that it was a lasting meeting. Over a total of four days, we worked in parallel in the various teams on different projects and points that brought the entire team forward in the long term and further consolidated its continued existence.
Finally enjoying the trade fair again.... Finally see the latest ideas and developments again... Finally admire various shows again.... Finally meeting and networking again.... and we're right in the middle of it: Prolight + Sound 2022.
This version is a small update to fix some bugs in the stream deck area. A new effect has also been added.
2. Jahrestreffen 2021
July 2021
Fortunately, we were able to hold our second annual meeting in person. We all met in Loitsche, where we held our Annual General Meeting and also worked a lot on various topics.
Typically, we always meet up on the long Ascension weekend. Unfortunately, we couldn't do it physically again this year, but only online. Nevertheless, it was a very productive meeting.
This version brings many detailed improvements. This include relative effects, macroboard profiles, new nodes in the input assignment and the acceleration of the loading process for projects.

Our Book as E-Book
16.12.2020
After our book was discontinued in 2018 because it had been on the market for quite a long time, it has now been published as an e-book by Elektor.
To help you becomming familiar with DMXControl 3, explanatory videos have been published for many areas of the software. Step by step, you get an easy introduction to the program interface, the stage view, the cuelists and the input assignment.
We had hoped that the Covid situation would ease somewhat and we would be able to meet up physically in November. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and we've once again made it a virtual meeting.
DMXControl 3.2.1 brings some detailed improvements in the area of input assignments, the softdesk and effects. The audio analyzer is also back.
1. DMXControl Meeting 2020
May 2020
Our annual meeting this year was strongly influenced by Covid. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet in a suburb of Stuttgart as planned, but had to move our meeting to the Internet and meet virtually.
There has been a small update for our forum. The news section has been significantly improved in many places. We have also improved and expanded some of the header images to match the categories. This should make it easier to recognize the category based on the image.
DMXControl 3.2 comes with two major innovations: the new Input Assignment and the new Softdesk. Both make DMXControl 3 even more powerful and flexible.
Release Nodle R4S
30.07.2019
Since our Nodle U1 has been very successful, but many people wanted a finished version of the interface, we have now released a “Ready for Show” version.
We celebrated the 10th anniversary of our association and the 15th anniversary of the DMXControl project with a big lightshow at the HTW in Berlin, Germany. There was also an open day with a number of specialist presentations on all aspects of lighting technology.
After the wiki had not been updated for a long time and was therefore clearly outdated, we have now brought the wiki up to date. As a result, the design of the wiki has also changed somewhat and now looks more modern.
After less than half a year, DMXControl 3.1.3 comes with cuelist priorities, an undo/redo function in the cuelist editor and the ability to customize the executor page order.

HOC invited us once again and so we held our 2018 annual meeting at his place. Among other things, we had our first moderated livestream, which was very well received.
We gave our forum a completely new look and it is now much more modern and clearly laid out. In addition, we now have a separate news section and all news will be published in German and English from this change on.
With the now published DDF Library, there is finally a central location where all DDFs for DMXControl 2 and 3 are collected and from where you can easily download them.
DMXControl 3.1.1 adds more strobe modes, defines standard color ranges for different colors and makes the field units configurable. Of course, many bugs have also been fixed.

In 2017, we were once again in northern Germany, in the old pump house in Kirchmöser near Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. As the old water tower was perfect for lighting, we created various lighting effects.
